The Old Palace

The centre of power

Heart of the civil and political life of Florence during Renaissance time, the Old Palace is still today one of the symbols of the city.
Other than being Florence City Hall, this majestic palace is also used as a museum, whose precious rooms hold important works of art.

The building, a typical medieval one, was built following the project made by the architect Arnolfo di Cambio, even though its current aspect is the result of several changes and adjustments brought over the years; whereas the interior architecture is mainly realized by Vasari, the Medici Family favorite architect.

Thanks to this guided visit inside this building, we can examine in depth beside the development of Florence and of the Palace itself, also the story of all those people who actively contribute to make Florence the city that we know today.
