Curious Facts about Tuscan Culinary Traditions

Hello my dear Explorers,

How are you?

Today I want to tell you a story but before I have a question to ask. Have you ever cooked or eaten something and then asked yourself where it comes from and why it is typical of your culinary culture?

These are questions that I ask myself very often because I am very curious about the origins of Tuscan traditions and for this reason I specialized in food and wine tours.  My goal is to discover as much as I can about typical Tuscan dishes and then share it with you.

In my itineraries dedicated to local food and wine, I like to tell my guests about curious stories and anecdotes because I think this can help to better comprehend our habits: it is really true that you understand how people behave when you know what they eat!

In this short video I will tell you the story of one of the most typical food you can find during your trip to Florence and Tuscany: chicken liver croutons. They are always present in the charcuterie with prosciutto and cheeses that we often order for an aperitivo or as appetizers before a nice Florentine steak. I think they are a real delicacy !!!

Have you ever tasted them?

If you like, you can tell me stories about the typical dishes of your country as well. I’m all ears!

A virtual hug
