Italian home made aperitivo

Hello dear explorers,

How are you?

The coronavirus has completely turned our lives upside down and the quarantine here in Italy has been going on for 3 weeks already. Have you ever imagined to live a moment in which everything we have always done naturally would have been forbidden for our own safety? Meeting with friends, going to restaurants, walking and even going to work in some cases, like mine, is now no longer allowed.

This situation is very difficult to manage for the whole world but I am sure that with patience and respect for the rules we will be able to overcome it and learn important lessons from it.

In the meantime I have decided to share something with you. You know well that I am a great food and wine lover and every occasion for me is the right one to have an aperitivo. Aperitivo is a moment of sharing, socializing and relaxing where we can chat with our friends by telling them what we did during the day while tasting traditional Tuscan food and drinks.

During my food and wine tours I always include an aperitivo stop in typical Florentine bars because in my opinion it’s one of the best ways to connect with my guests and make them understand how much food and wine are synonymous of our culture. Moreover it’s also an excellent excuse for going out and having fun!!

Right now we can’t do it physically but who said we can’t share it virtually?

It takes very few ingredients to prepare a home made aperitivo and everyone can do it with whatever they prefer. I show you my 100% made in Tuscany aperitivo, with local and genuine products, that one day I will let you taste during one of our food and wine tours in Florence and Tuscany.

Let me know if you, wherever you are, like to have an aperitivo as well and if you want, contact me and we can organize one together, each one from our home.
What do you think?
